We will be hosting a Windows 7 Launch Party on Monday, October 26th!

There’s going to be a demo PC set up for everyone to experiment and check out new features on, as well as a short presentation showing what’s improved since Vista, and what’s brand new.

There are prizes! Among them is a 320GB portable hard drive, and an HP Mini Netbook, pre-loaded with Windows 7! Pizza and drinks will also be served!

Everyone at NJIT, especially those who avoided Vista like the plague, are invited to come along and see what Windows 7 has to offer.

1:00 PM, Prudential will come with a shuttle bus to NJIT Library to pick up ACM student members
1:30 Arrive in Roseland data center, Mr. Joe Nostrame will guide the tour.
2:30 Visit Prudential Operation Command Center
3:15 Meet with Prudential IS Executives: Open discussion about IT career paths and IT education.
4:00 Shuttle bus leaves Prudential and sends the students back to NJIT Library

For those who do not need to take the shuttle bus, the address of Roseland datacenter is:

Twitter Updates Coming Soon! The NJIT ACM Chapter will be creating a Twitter account to allow all members to keep updated with our latest news and events.

Wednesday, October 7th be at our ACM office (GITC 4402) at 2:30PM. Help Desk team will be holding a workshop on desktop assembly. Learn internal parts, components, how to diagnose regular hardware problems, what BIOS are, etc.

Stop by our office this Monday, October 5th at 10:30AM for the workshop “Add your Google Calendar to your website”. Come join SIGweb to have some fun and learn how to share your calendar with your friends. Bring your laptop.

This Monday, October 5th. SIGgraph will show different logos for the formal ACM@NJIT shirts, be there at our regular meeting hours to vote for a logo design.

Having computer problems? For a nominal fee, students and faculty can bring their workstations to our ACM office GITC4402 any Thursday from 4PM to 5PM. See flyer for price list
